WP Video Enhanced – Extending Native WordPress Player
[video] shortcode do can more than what it did before…
Videos are a great way to enhance your blog posts. The core WordPress has a video embed feature which allows you to embed a video in WordPress very easily. This video embed feature was included in WordPress 3.6 which made it easier for you to embed a video in WordPress without having to install a plugin.
But, the native video player is too limited in its features and not suitable for any advanced usage like playing Live Streams, Tracking player events ( Google Analytics ), Sharing to Social Media, Embed to external sites, Watermarking, etc. So, if you’re a user looking for more control over your video content, then certainly you will need to find a third party video player plugin. This really puts you at high risk that you will need to depend on a third party developer. I see a lot of video player plugins in the WordPress.org those are not updated for years. On the other side, the WordPress’ video player was well maintained and tested on all their releases. So, using the native shortcode don’t let you down at any case. So, we decided to develop a plugin that simply extends the native WordPress Video Player.
WP Video Enhanced plugin just extends the native WordPress video player with new features. Our goal is to bring all the features from TOP premium third-party player plugins like JW Player, Flow Player into the WordPress Player. We cannot do this all in one night and we need some time and patient from you to do this.
