A YouTube API Key is required to dynamically build your video galleries, and it’s free of charge. Follow the instructions below to create your API key:

- Go to the Google Developers Console:
- Visit Google Developers Console.
- Create a New Project:
- Click on the project dropdown at the top of the page.
- Click “New Project” and enter a name for your project.
- Click “Create.”
- Enable YouTube Data API:
- With your project selected, go to the Library section in the sidebar.
- Search for “YouTube Data API v3” and select it from the search results.
- Click the “Enable” button.
- Create Credentials:
- Go to the Credentials section in the sidebar.
- Click on “+ Create Credentials” and select “API key” from the dropdown menu.
- Configure API Key (Optional but recommended):
- A new API key will be generated. You can restrict its usage to specific referrers or IP addresses by clicking “Restrict Key.”
- Choose the appropriate restrictions and save your settings.
- Copy Your API Key:
- Copy the generated API key and configure it in our plugin under “WordPress Admin Dashboard / YouTube Gallery / Settings“.
That’s it! You now have a YouTube API Key that our plugin can use to access YouTube data.
